About the role
- Defining and executing the roadmap for engineering quality, reliability, and internal tooling.
- Championing a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all engineering functions.
- Partnering with product, design, and engineering leaders to evolve how we build, test, and deploy software.
- Advocating for an agile process and automation-first culture.
- Leading the Quality Engineering organization, establishing best practices in testing, automation, and CI/CD.
- Drive Quality KPIs and metrics for the Engineering organization.
- Overseeing Technical Operations to ensure customer-reported issues are triaged quickly and resolved with root-cause accountability.
- Driving improvements in Developer Experience to increase developer velocity, satisfaction, and efficiency.
- Guiding our internal tools teams to deliver scalable, impactful tools for our Customer Support agents.
- Rolling up your sleeves to troubleshoot complex issues, design solutions, and model best practices.
- Mentoring and coaching engineers and managers to develop future leaders within the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering leadership experience.
- Deep experience running Quality / Test Engineering teams — this is the foundation of the role.
- Proven success leading engineering organizations across multiple domains, ideally including DevX, Tech Ops, or internal tools.
- Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to step in hands-on while also scaling teams and systems.
- A track record of improving software development lifecycle processes — from build to deploy to monitoring — in complex environments.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and building for reliability at scale.
- Experience leading entire engineering organizations is a strong plus.
- A customer-first mindset, with experience ensuring engineering quality translates into better customer outcomes.
- Excellent leadership skills; able to inspire, mentor, and retain top technical talent.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and support.
- A bias toward action, with the ability to balance strategic initiatives with tactical execution.
