About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive retail strategy for Greenlight’s portfolio of family management and safety products.
  • Identify, prioritize, and secure partnerships with leading national retailers (e.g., mass, club, and e-commerce).
  • Define channel segmentation, pricing architecture, assortment strategy, and go-to-market plans.
  • Build impactful, long-term retail partnerships alongside senior leadership.
  • Lead negotiations and close complex commercial agreements with senior retail executives.
  • Structure joint business plans that align Greenlight’s strategic objectives with retail partners’ growth goals.
  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for key national accounts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to design and execute integrated retail launches (in-store, digital, omnichannel).
  • Drive merchandising strategy, in-store placement, packaging strategy, and point-of-sale materials.
  • Lead retail-specific promotional strategy and co-op marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations on forecasting, inventory planning, and fulfillment.
  • Establish retail KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor performance and drive accountability.
  • Build scalable processes to support expansion into additional retail channels and geographies.
  • Serve as the cross-functional leader for retail initiatives, aligning Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
  • Drive organizational clarity around retail readiness and operational excellence.
  • Foster a data-driven, execution-focused culture.
  • Build and lead a high-performing retail team (sales operations, merchandising, field marketing, etc.) as the retail business grows.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience in retail sales, partnerships, or omnichannel leadership.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling retail distribution for consumer hardware or connected device brands (e.g., wearables, consumer electronics, family tech, IoT).
  • Experience at high-growth, premium consumer brands strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success launching products into major national retailers (e.g.,Best Buy, Amazon, Costco, specialty retailers).
  • Deep experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and joint business plans.
  • Experience owning a P&L or significant revenue target.
