About the role
- Lead highly productive teams to build high-quality, scalable native Android software to support rapid user-base growth
- Help modernize legacy parts of the Android app and support teams building new features
- Serve as a mentor to our Android engineers
- Leading our Android architecture by transforming business objectives into technical solutions
- Work with product and engineers to understand the impact of new work
- Mature our process for onboarding and work with new engineers as they onboard
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in our development process
- Mature our build pipelines
- Mature our process around release management
- Document and prioritize technical debt
- Stay on top of changes in the Android ecosystem and ensure that our app, environment and practices keep up
- Work with engineers and engineering managers to maintain a technical roadmap that moves us incrementally and continually in the right direction
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 9+ Yrs of experience in Android applications development
- Prior experience working in a high-growth stage company building and architecting SAAS products and solutions
- The ability to provide technical insight and overall direction on projects from concept to delivery
- Highly skilled communicator. You’ll spend a fair part of your day talking and working with others
- Exemplary technical skills. Development experience in Java and Kotlin.
