About the role

  • Assist the Operations Team performing imports, procurement, inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management and warehouse operations to meet assigned KPIs.
  • Support initial operations department setup in Madagascar.
  • Demonstrate practical ability to handle large data evaluation using Vlookup, Pivot tables, and advanced excel formula, and reporting.
  • Inventory reporting, planning and forecasting.
  • Think through operational processes and design sustainable solutions.
  • Undertake system (ERP & CRM) transactions for all operations activities.
  • Setting up a warehouse and oversee management of warehouse and retail points ensuring stocks are managed through inventory management best practices.
  • Monitor inventory needs while coordinating with the sales team and escalating to relevant teams as needed to meet business needs and timelines.
  • Manage procurement end-to-end: ERP system transactions, maintain approved vendors database, establish and manage supplier relationships, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Onboard and manage relevant 3PLs, clearing agents, security firms and transportation companies.
  • Oversee importation and exportation of products into Madagascar in liaison with established clearing agents.
  • Manage 3PL relationships and perform system transactions for all in/outbound logistics.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement & Logistics, or related field, with 4+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Possess strong knowledge of supply chain operations, including import/export, transport routes, warehousing, inventory, retail, and last-mile distribution.
  • Are value-motivated, passionate about serving rural off-grid consumers, and able to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Have proven experience with ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  • Are familiar with regional legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, with strong people relations and teamwork abilities.
  • Are skilled in business planning, procurement, and problem-solving, with the ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
