About the role

  • Job location: Lusaka, Zambia
  • Oversee the recruitment process to ensure timely, high-quality hires within set turnaround times.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to provide a seamless and positive recruitment experience for internal teams and candidates.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Identify market trends and workforce planning data to prioritize recruitment and refine hiring strategies.
  • Mentor the talent acquisition team and foster professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and promote employer brand through marketing, social media, and strategic partnerships.
  • Evaluate and optimize recruitment processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and candidate experience, including onboarding.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and offer strategic advice.
  • Develop and implement DEI recruitment strategies and work with DEI teams to build a diverse talent pipeline.
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and talent partners.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate quality) to senior managers.
  • Utilize data insights to improve recruitment effectiveness.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with local labor laws, global regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition budget and ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to improve candidate engagement and experience throughout the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Working experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment role of at least 6 years.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of candidate attraction and selection methods.
  • Good knowledge of full-cycle recruitment processes for both technical and non- technical recruitment.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a strong advantage.
  • Good communication and people-person skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
  • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver.
  • A positive, “can do” attitude.
