About the role
- Provides initial customer service to all Patient Navigation Center contacts for multiple Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) service lines
- Performs insurance verification or sliding fee program screenings for patients in accordance with LSCC guidelines
- Assesses patient requests and implied needs, using probing and clarifying questions
- Assists patients with scheduling, confirmations, cancellations and rescheduling of appointments
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; additional work experience may be substituted in lieu of education
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs efficiently
- Six (6) months prior medical office or healthcare setting experience preferred
- Minimum three (3) months call center experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish language and writing skills preferred
