About the role

  • Provides initial customer service to all Patient Navigation Center contacts for multiple Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) service lines
  • Performs insurance verification or sliding fee program screenings for patients in accordance with LSCC guidelines
  • Assesses patient requests and implied needs, using probing and clarifying questions
  • Assists patients with scheduling, confirmations, cancellations and rescheduling of appointments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; additional work experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs efficiently
  • Six (6) months prior medical office or healthcare setting experience preferred
  • Minimum three (3) months call center experience preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language and writing skills preferred
