Assist senior leadership in developing tax strategies aligned with business objectives. Help identify tax-saving opportunities and support managing tax risks.
Conduct research on tax implications related to new projects, product launches, and international business activities to inform decision-making.
Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax returns, including estimated tax payments (corporate, indirect, etc.).
Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Ensure timely and accurate tax provision calculations for financial reporting (ASC 740).
Timely preparation of routine tax accruals (e.g. above-the-line business taxes), and account reconciliations for month-end close.
Assist with tax cash forecasting to support liquidity and financial planning.
Manage international tax matters (e.g. international expansion).
Timely preparation of Transfer pricing computation for accounting.
Timely preparation of contemporaneous documentation with the assistance of third-party service providers.
Manage permanent establishment risk through collaboration with the People, Payroll, and Legal teams.
Identify and implement tax technology solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls related to tax processes.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on the company.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's in Taxation (MST) or JD/LLM a plus.
CPA designation strongly preferred.
8+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within a SaaS company or a public accounting firm serving SaaS clients.
Deep understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax laws, including multi-state taxation.
Strong knowledge of international tax principles, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and BEPS.
Experience with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and financial statement tax disclosures.
Proven ability to manage tax compliance, audits, and controversy.
Experience with tax technology platforms and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Avalara).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
