Provide assistance to product support team on moderately complex technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external salespeople in the areas of product selection and application.
Develop and communicate solutions for unique applications including design and special pricing.
Gather information and provide resolution to complex field problems; may include travel for onsite support.
Maintain working knowledge of industry codes and standards to determine product needs and requirements.
Highlight and communicate key selling points of current products for delivery to sales teams and customers.
Work with internal and external parties to ensure sold projects are completed, including managing & communicating lead times, shipping & logistics support and services coordination.
Serve as liaison between field & factory technical support to ensure field issues are communicated and solved efficiently.
Work with engineers, Account Managers and other internal teams to provide KVS solutions for projects.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement where applicable.
Develop, organize and present trainings to internal and external customers both onsite and offsite; participate in offsite events and industry associations.
May provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
Document service calls to record data on product questions and field issues.
Requirements
3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or equivalent years of job experience required.
4 Year / bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must be able to travel 15% of time.
Maintain working knowledge of industry codes and standards to determine product needs and requirements.
Experience providing technical application support via phone and e-mail for internal and external salespeople in product selection and application.
Ability to develop and communicate solutions for unique applications including design and special pricing.
Experience gathering information and providing resolution to complex field problems; may include onsite support/travel.
Experience working with engineers, Account Managers and other internal teams to provide solutions using proprietary software (KVS) or similar.
Ability to develop, organize and present trainings to internal and external customers.
