About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- - Monitor and manage the order process, including scheduling and deliveries.
- - Coordinate transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
- - Process customer orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment.
- - Act as the first point of contact for client queries, resolving issues related to orders, scheduling, and compliance.
- - Collaborate with sales, finance, and other departments to streamline operations.
- - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for order management.
- - Manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock, ensuring cost efficiency.
- - Track and report inventory updates and dispatch requirements.
- - Implement systems to enhance inventory tracking and accuracy.
- - Plan and coordinate logistics operations, liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and transportation companies.
- - Oversee daily schedules, ensuring timely updates and communication.
- - Monitor quality, delivery times, and transport costs, making recommendations for optimization.
- - Maintain carrier performance and compliance, handling issues as they arise.
- - Negotiate with transport providers to achieve cost-efficient and timely solutions.
- - Compile and analyze data on inventory, transportation, and costs.
- - Generate weekly and monthly reports for the sales team and leadership.
- - Support the development of forecasting tools to predict inventory needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- - Proven track record in logistics, operations, or a similar role, with experience in inventory management and customer service.
