About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • - Monitor and manage the order process, including scheduling and deliveries.
  • - Coordinate transportation, inventory management, and distribution.
  • - Process customer orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment.
  • - Act as the first point of contact for client queries, resolving issues related to orders, scheduling, and compliance.
  • - Collaborate with sales, finance, and other departments to streamline operations.
  • - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for order management.
  • - Manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • - Track and report inventory updates and dispatch requirements.
  • - Implement systems to enhance inventory tracking and accuracy.
  • - Plan and coordinate logistics operations, liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and transportation companies.
  • - Oversee daily schedules, ensuring timely updates and communication.
  • - Monitor quality, delivery times, and transport costs, making recommendations for optimization.
  • - Maintain carrier performance and compliance, handling issues as they arise.
  • - Negotiate with transport providers to achieve cost-efficient and timely solutions.
  • - Compile and analyze data on inventory, transportation, and costs.
  • - Generate weekly and monthly reports for the sales team and leadership.
  • - Support the development of forecasting tools to predict inventory needs.

Requirements

  • - Proven track record in logistics, operations, or a similar role, with experience in inventory management and customer service.
