Prospect for and identify new opportunities at assigned current customer base
Prospect for and identify new customers and new product opportunities to accomplish and maintain expected sales revenue and margin targets within assigned territories
Create, monitor and revise lead generation and qualification plans to generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
Generate incremental inquiries, provide technical and commercial inputs to sales support for incremental quote generation and ensure quote follow-up to close
Align with territory management strategic objectives and proactively communicate and build relationships with key purchasing, engineering, and other relevant contacts within assigned accounts
In collaboration with the sales operations specialist (COE Resource), prepare reports on customer contacts, sales opportunities, and accomplishments within the company CRM (Salesforce.com)
Keep management up to date on pertinent information and activities within assigned accounts, store report results, and evaluate marketing strategies and sales territory plans
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy
Ability to understand and sell technical products/solutions
Able to work well in a diverse multi-functional team environment
Ability to make decisions consistent with business vision
Professional and assertive work style with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Minimal business travel and work outside of the office
