About the role
- Prospect for and identify new opportunities at assigned current customer base
- Prospect for and identify new customers and new product opportunities to accomplish and maintain expected sales revenue and margin targets within assigned territories
- Create, monitor and revise lead generation and qualification plans to generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
- Generate incremental inquiries, provide technical and commercial inputs to sales support for incremental quote generation and ensure quote follow-up to close
- Align with territory management strategic objectives and proactively communicate and build relationships with key purchasing, engineering, and other relevant contacts within assigned accounts
- In collaboration with the sales operations specialist (COE Resource), prepare reports on customer contacts, sales opportunities, and accomplishments within the company CRM (Salesforce.com)
- Keep management up to date on pertinent information and activities within assigned accounts, store report results, and evaluate marketing strategies and sales territory plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy
- Ability to understand and sell technical products/solutions
- Able to work well in a diverse multi-functional team environment
- Ability to make decisions consistent with business vision
- Professional and assertive work style with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Minimal business travel and work outside of the office
- This position may require U.S. Person status as defined for ITAR access (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee or asylum status)
