About the role
- Provide complex engineering support to application engineering and operations functions
- Provide design expertise to new product development (NPD) projects
- Offer technical assistance in response to customer inquiries
- Document all projects to maintain compliance with ISO9001
- Actively participate on Strategic Account Teams
- Maintain the reputation as a technical expert in advanced design and computational analysis
- Provide technical support and coaching to junior level engineering staff
- Develop advanced computational models, techniques, and analytical tools
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering discipline required
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5-10 years of experience in an engineering role required
- Design experience using 2D and 3D Drafting and Modeling software (ABAQUS, ANSYS or Solidworks)
- Programming in Python or equivalent language
- Experience with material modelling software: ie DigiMat
- Previous customer-facing experience desired
- Ability to work in cross-functional team environment required
- Effective technical communication / presentation skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to travel 10-20% of time for customer meetings
