About the role

  • Partner with manufacturing organization to provide HR solutions supporting goals, strategies and objectives
  • Drive development of HR operational excellence across performance management, talent acquisition, development, and employee relations
  • Provide consultation and leadership on issues to improve business results while optimizing people, structure and process
  • Develop and maintain a strong culture of collaboration and coaching that promotes understanding, minimizes conflict and drives positive morale
  • Assist in communication and implementation of HR policies and procedures within the site
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on HR policies and procedures, HR compliance, and employment law matters
  • Keep groups informed of changes in HR policies, employment legislation and counsel managers and employees on policies and procedures
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
  • Advise management on resolution of employee relations issues
  • Conduct investigations to resolve employee relations or legal issues
  • Help drive the recruitment process for hourly positions
  • Ensure onboarding of new hires and exit processes are administered consistently and effectively
  • Coach manufacturing and quality supervisors and leaders in execution of performance management system
  • Assist with administration and implementation of salary planning, performance appraisal and objective setting programs
  • Identify key processes within site HR needing improvements for greater efficiencies
  • Assist in development of employee engagement and communication strategies for site to support company’s business objectives
  • Participate in HR projects as assigned
  • Work with HR team members and other departments to complete projects and assignments throughout the year

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, HR or related field
  • 5+ years of related HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently investigate, resolve and proactively address common employee relations issues
  • Strong knowledge of all relevant employment law issues and the willingness to proactively stay on top of legislation changes and local requirements
  • Ability to apply strategic context to tactical execution, working independently in a fast paced, matrixed global organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
