About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Renewing existing accounts with increased service levels and pricing
- Creating and implementing a key account strategy for each client
- Identifying upsell and cross sell opportunities to drive incremental revenue for New Business
- Demonstrating expertise in communicating and selling all aspects of the Green Street platform
- Obtaining and effectively communicating responses to client questions and data requests, and facilitating interaction between clients and research staff
- Providing feedback from clients to assess possible enhancements to existing products and the need for new products
- Training clients on Green Street’s Research, News and Data & Analytics services, as well as our methodology and web-based platform
- Transitioning new clients from point of sale to the Green Street platform
- Maintaining accurate customer database of industry contacts and interactions for reporting
- Consistently providing detailed updates on activities to Account Management team
- Contributing to team effort and work on special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree with high distinction in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a sales or customer service environment
- Superior relationship management skills and a desire to help people
- Sales-driven personality, a competitive nature
- Experience negotiating with clients, or a desire to learn
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Fundamental understanding of financial industry (investment banks, lenders, private equity firms, hedge funds, stocks, bonds, etc.)
