About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Typescript and Playwright
  • Design and execute manual tests to ensure timely sprint delivery
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and create comprehensive test plans
  • Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
  • Optimize test automation processes and frameworks for efficiency and scalability
  • Provide mentorship to junior test engineers
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our testing practices
  • Work directly with development teams in London and California

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or comparable experience
  • ISTQB certification or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer, with a strong portfolio of automated test scripts
  • Proficiency in Typescript
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • A continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying current with new technologies
  • Experience with other test frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
