About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and manage employment-based immigration matters from initiation through filing and completion.
- Draft petitions, applications, support letters, forms, and filing packages for attorney review.
- Prepare H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, TN, E-3, O-1, H-4, L-2, E-2 dependent, PERM, I-140, Adjustment of Status, and related employment-based immigration matters.
- Communicate directly with foreign nationals, human resources professionals, managers, and client representatives regarding case requirements, timelines, and status updates.
- Analyze case documents and identify missing information or potential issues requiring attorney review.
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation and exhibits for filing submissions.
- Track case deadlines, expirations, and government processing milestones to ensure timely filing and follow-up.
- Assist with preparation of responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other government inquiries.
- Maintain organized and legally compliant electronic case files and records.
- Participate in client calls, status meetings, and internal case strategy discussions as needed.
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to identify process improvements and ensure high-quality client service.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation within firm case management systems.
- Stay informed regarding immigration process changes, agency updates, and firm procedures.
- Participate in required training and professional development activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–4 years of business immigration experience in a law firm or corporate immigration environment.
- Preparing high-volume NIV and IV matters for corporate clients.
- H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, TN, E-3, O-1, PERM, I-140, and Adjustment of Status case preparation.
- Drafting immigration support letters and preparing complex filing packages.
- Direct communication with foreign nationals and HR or global mobility professionals.
- Managing multiple active cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
- Experience utilizing immigration case management systems such as INSZoom, Docketwise, LawLogix, or similar platforms.
