About the role
- Interpret assignments as delegated by the Interpreter Schedulers
- Perform assignments based on skill level and demonstrated competencies
- Work primarily in the field or virtually with location determined by assignment needs
- Maintain accurate monthly service statistics and submit reports as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Certification
- BEI Certification
- Advanced or Master level required
- Previously recognized certifications (e.g., NAD, ACCI, NIC)
- EIPA 4+ with continuing training CEU credits
- Strong understanding of laws, programs, and rights protecting Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
- Ability to travel throughout the service area
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to RID Code of Professional Conduct
