About the role

  • Interpret assignments as delegated by the Interpreter Schedulers
  • Perform assignments based on skill level and demonstrated competencies
  • Work primarily in the field or virtually with location determined by assignment needs
  • Maintain accurate monthly service statistics and submit reports as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Certification
  • BEI Certification
  • Advanced or Master level required
  • Previously recognized certifications (e.g., NAD, ACCI, NIC)
  • EIPA 4+ with continuing training CEU credits
  • Strong understanding of laws, programs, and rights protecting Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to RID Code of Professional Conduct
