About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and implement Human Resources programs covering recruiting, compensation and benefits, performance management, team member relations, safety, and employment practices
  • Ensure company policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance to business leaders within established company policies
  • Support recruitment, performance management, and team member development programs
  • Advise on organizational structure and staffing
  • Recruit for open positions through postings, ads, job fairs, networking, and required checks
  • Advise supervisors on candidate matching and hiring
  • Support workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, wage and hour inquiries, OSHA, DOT, FMLA, USERRA, and related issues
  • Provide team members with information about benefits, payroll inquiries, and career development
  • Review changes to state and federal laws and recommend necessary changes to management
  • Coordinate and lead investigations involving harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, theft, and related matters
  • Assist supervisors in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
  • Provide guidance on loss prevention and risk management
  • Lead HR projects, including Workday upgrades and functionality, user training, report writing, and system performance maintenance
  • Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and relocations
  • Travel to support other local warehouses within the west region

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of Human Resources laws and ability to understand company HR procedures and processes across multiple locations
  • Minimum of 2 years of related recruiting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of recruitment, benefits, safety, compensation systems, team member relations, unemployment, and workers’ compensation
  • High integrity, loyalty, compassion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong decision-making, organization, prioritization, and planning abilities
  • Ability to work in a diverse organization where group interaction, teamwork, and relationships are critical
  • Excellent communication and listening skills; assertive, personable, and flexible
  • Knowledge of HRIS, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Occasional travel required, typically 20–30% of the time
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test; THC/marijuana is not tested
  • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States
  • Must not require U.S. Venture sponsorship to continue working legally in the United States
  • Bilingual capability in English and Spanish implied by the role title
