About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Senior Director to prioritize departmental initiatives
  • Maintain ongoing cross-departmental communication to facilitate improvement of systems and processes
  • Support the development of Managing Editors as they collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships and contracts with external contributors and vendors
  • Collaborate with Directors/Associate Directors, Managing Editors, and Managers
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with leaders and professionals throughout the organization
  • Foster a healthy, strong team culture that values humility, collaboration, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in education publishing, curriculum development, K-12 education services, or a comparable organization
  • 5+ years of experience in a team leadership role
  • Demonstrated track record managing large, complex, cross-functional projects with overlapping timelines
  • Experience developing and managing multi-year project budgets
  • Deep familiarity with content publishing workflows (print and digital)
  • Advanced proficiency in project management principles and tools (Smartsheet or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and collaborative platforms (SharePoint, Google Workspace, or similar)
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with external vendors and contributors
