About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute key strategic initiatives that shape the Company’s organizational processes, capabilities, and operating model.
- Collaborate with district and business units to consistently drive strategic initiatives forward.
- Guide high-impact programs with a focus on aligning each initiative with corporate values and objectives.
- Facilitate decisive actions and proactively address obstacles to ensure that strategic project plans are completed timely and on budget.
- Apply and maintain frameworks to monitor and measure the business impact of strategic initiatives, ensuring effort translates into meaningful outcomes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with districts and business units providing a consistent flow of information and education on project status and goals.
- Communicate effectively to overcome obstacles, align diverse opinions, and prepare stakeholders for change as the organization implements new initiatives.
- Proactively identify potential risks, delays, and gaps in decision-making, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution to maintain project momentum.
- Track and report performance against strategic targets in partnership with functional owners, including productivity, margin improvement, diversification, and market share outcomes.
- Operate and support governance structures for strategic programs, including steering committees, executive reviews, and escalation forums and recommend improvements as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years’ experience in general management
- Four-year degree
- Wholesale distribution experience preferred
- Large-scale project management experience
- Knowledge of the electrical distribution industry
- Finance and accounting
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Influencing and collaborating effectively across diverse teams
- Organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Business acumen
- Ability to transition between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Ability to execute within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to implement long-term strategic plans
- Ability to motivate others
