About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support pre-construction efforts on assigned pursuits and projects
- Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, scope development, and pricing analysis
- Develop quantity takeoffs, pricing inputs, and estimate backup documentation
- Assist with conceptual and detailed budgets, documenting assumptions and identifying questions or gaps
- Coordinate with operations, design management, procurement, and scheduling teams to support constructability, phasing, and pricing accuracy
- Assist with trade partner and vendor outreach and proposal reviews
- Confirm scope alignment and escalate risks or discrepancies
- Support proposal development and pre-construction deliverables, including exhibits, narratives, scope matrices, and related documentation
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and reviews
- Prepare meeting materials, document action items, and support follow-up
- Learn and apply Gray’s pre-construction tools, processes, and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in standard business and pre-construction software tools, including document preparation, spreadsheets, email, and estimating-related applications
- Experience with large-scale, non-residential construction projects is preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms, and talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision ability
- Ability to work overtime when required
