About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex process design efforts for food and beverage applications
- Apply advanced engineering concepts to develop process systems
- Execute full project scope, including design, budgeting, implementation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to align and execute project goals
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices
- Support on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational optimization
- Ensure system performance meets design specifications
- Develop technical documentation, including equipment lists, flow diagrams, and process narratives
- Travel for site audits, installations, and customer meetings as needed
- Perform duties in a generally controlled office environment and during variable site conditions
- Work overtime when required
- No supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on process systems
- Demonstrated experience in detailed process design for food and beverage processing lines
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- PE license is a plus
- Willingness to travel for site audits, installations, and customer meetings as required by projects
- Regular use of hands, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to variable conditions during site visits
- Must be ineligible for visa sponsorship / role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
