About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and/or lead the design, installation and commissioning of manufacturing lines focused on the packaging operations of consumer products
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide customized solutions
  • Reinforce the overall project team by serving as a member of the packaging team on complex projects
  • Support the technical lead on all aspects of packaging systems design and integration development
  • Prepare equipment lists and data sheets as needed
  • Assist in preparing vendor and contractor bid and construction packages
  • Travel expectations range from 20% to 40% depending on project stage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical, industrial or packaging systems engineering
  • 5+ years of demonstrated professional work experience in a Packaging Equipment Systems Engineering or related field of work
  • Experience in large capital project engineering/management
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Advanced excel skills are a plus
  • 2D CAD experience is a plus
  • Advanced understanding of automation control systems (PLC, HMI, VFD’s, etc.) is a plus
