About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Timekeeping Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll and workforce management.
- This position is responsible for monitoring and reconciling employee time records, coordinating workforce data entry, and supporting compliance with company policies and payroll standards.
- The Timekeeping Administrator works closely with Human Resources, payroll teams, and employees to process timecards, update personnel records, and resolve discrepancies.
- In addition, the role supports payroll functions such as garnishment payments, tax filings, and reporting.
- Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in payroll and timekeeping required.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CMiC, SmartBarrel and E-Time preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to prepare and write routine correspondence.
- Ability to calculate mathematical figures such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and co-workers.
- Must possess strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment, strong team player.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
