About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enforce safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements of the company
- Maintain appropriate safety records
- Ensure work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion
- Investigate incidents and complete necessary reports
- Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors for non-compliance with safety requirements
- Conduct safety meetings/jobsite reviews as part of coordination meetings
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Conduct orientation and jobsite specific training
- Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- OSHA 30 Hour card
- Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
