About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supports the coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers
Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on projects
May monitor and report on the financial status of projects and is responsible for subcontract and contract administration
Supports development of job progress schedule to ensure actual construction parallels with the schedule
Purchases and monitors the delivery of all needed materials for their scope of responsibility on projects
Negotiates contracts with trade partners and vendors for their trade scope of responsibility
Reviews and approves trade partner and vendor payment requests
Evaluates change order requests from trade partners in a timely fashion
Organizes and maintains job files to ensure continuity of workflow
Reviews shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work for their responsibility
May be responsible for estimating efforts relative to projects and proposal preparation efforts
Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of Gray’s safety and quality programs on site

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of four years of experience in construction management
Technical knowledge supporting projects in an Assistant Project Manager role
Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
Possesses advanced computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office and innovative programs/software provided by Gray
Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment
