About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Will function as the overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager.
- Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval.
- Assist in the development and management of project schedule.
- Prepare estimates in areas of self-performed work and assist in complete project estimate.
- Responsible for multiple divisions of work, all aspects of the means and method of construction.
- Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval.
- Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports, progress tracking
- Implement procedures and assist in identifying staffing needs.
- Schedule work, including subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with company and industry standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- This position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases outside of the U.S.
- Will manage multiple subordinate team members.
- Responsibilities include training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Indirectly manages subcontractors, consultants, and general laborers.
- Assist in selection of qualified bidders, negotiate final prices, draft subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Familiarity with construction management practices, methods, and techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
