About the role
- Responsible for the overall management of one $75MM + project or multiple construction projects
- Ensure that project action items are systematically tracked and completed
- Monitor project progress for budget and costs, identifying issues early
- Oversee project team development and maintenance of the project master schedule
- Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray's safety program on-site
- Develop and assign project risk management plans
- Create and manage relationship management plans for customers and subcontractors
- Mentor and guide project team members to align with company vision, core values, and mission statement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five consecutive years total profit and loss accountability on multiple projects
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing all disciplines for design/build projects or hard bid projects as required for the market this position serves
- Experience in all contracting methods such as lump sum, GMP, cost plus construction management, and fee-based construction
- Knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contractual language
- Proven record in increasing project profitability from the initial project profit margin on multiple projects
- Knowledgeable in technical aspects of engineering and design disciplines
- Thorough understanding of costs and fees associated with the variety of engineering and design disciplines and services
- Knowledgeable of the impact caused by multiple changes in either the design, engineering, or construction phases
- Experience managing projects with all process or production equipment procurement or installation
- Experienced in developing aggressive schedules for projects
- Basic computer skills, including ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications.
