About the role
- Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Reinforce compliance with the safety requirements of the company.
- Maintain appropriate safety records.
- Ensure work areas are neat, safe, and orderly.
- Investigate incidents and complete reports as required.
- Assist Site Manager with administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors.
- Hold safety meetings/jobsite reviews in coordination meetings.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and orientation/jobsite specific training.
- Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- OSHA 30 Hour card
- Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
