About the role

  • Ensures coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers, design, and engineering efforts
  • Monitors and reports on the financial status of the project(s)
  • Responsible for subcontract and contract administration
  • Develops job progress schedule to ensure construction matches schedule
  • Purchases and monitors delivery of all needed materials
  • Negotiates contracts with trade partners and vendors
  • Reviews and approves trade partner and vendor payment requests
  • Evaluates change order requests from trade partners
  • Works with design and engineering teams to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Prepares and presents various reports like monthly red files, billings, status reports, etc.
  • Organizes and maintains job files
  • Reviews shop drawings and submittals for compliance
  • May be responsible for estimating efforts and proposal preparation
  • Communicates and enforces safety and quality programs on site
  • Champions overall team leadership and collaboration of multiple teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in construction management
  • Technical knowledge supporting projects in a Project Manager II role or equivalent
  • Successfully completed at least two projects in a Project Manager II role or equivalent
  • Preference for a bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and innovative programs/software
  • Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment
