About the role
- Ensure interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers
- Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on projects
- Monitor and report on the financial status of projects and manage subcontract/contract administration
- Develop job progress schedule to ensure construction parallels with the schedule
- Purchase and monitor delivery of needed materials ensuring optimum prices and quality
- Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors, eliminating scope gap and limiting project risk
- Review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests
- Evaluate change order requests from trade partners
- Work with design and engineering teams to ensure projects are designed/procured/constructed within operating guidelines
- Prepare and present various reports for project management including monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings, status reports, etc.
- Organize and maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow
- Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with scope
- Responsible for estimating efforts relative to projects and proposal preparation
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of experience in construction management
- Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager II role or equivalent
- Preference for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and innovative programs/software
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment
- Passion for collaboration and professional development
