About the role
- Ensure coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers, design, and engineering efforts
- Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on the project(s)
- Monitor and report on the financial status of the project(s)
- Develop job progress schedule to ensure actual construction parallels with the schedule
- Purchase and monitor the delivery of all needed materials for their scope of responsibility on the project(s)
- Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors for their trade scope of responsibility
- Review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests
- Evaluate change order requests from trade partners in a timely fashion
- Work with design and engineering teams to ensure project(s) is/are designed, procured, and constructed within the boundaries of operating guidelines
- Prepare and present various reports to manage the project(s)
- Organize and maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the scope of work
- Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of Gray’s safety and quality programs on site
- Champion overall team leadership and collaboration of multiple teams on the project.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of experience in construction management
- Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager II role or equivalent
- Preference for a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture)
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and innovative programs/software provided by Gray
- Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment and has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
