About the role
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Help in the investigation and response to security incidents.
- Research and stay informed of potential information security threats, industry trends, emerging technologies, and response alternatives.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- CompTIA Security+ preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
