About the role

  • Collaborate closely with the Art Team and Game Designers to create stylized 3D environments
  • Create large painterly natural environments, foliage, structures, vehicles, props, textures and materials
  • Help set the bar for quality environments
  • Work with the team to learn game-making processes and propose creative ideas to push environments
  • Participate in playtesting and engage with team members to enhance the game
  • Work closely with many disciplines to meet gameplay needs while balancing artistic goals

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in games
  • Shipped Games in Unreal Engine 4/5
  • Experience creating large open worlds
  • Deep knowledge of Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
  • Deep knowledge of Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance, Marmoset and other 2D/3D tools
  • Experience and solid knowledge in hand painting textures
  • Deep understanding of PBR rules and how to break them
  • Deep understanding of forms, shape language, design, light and composition
  • Perfect understanding of Retopology, UVs and baking techniques
  • A passion to get out of your comfort zone, improving and learning new techniques and processes
  • Traditional Art knowledge and experience
  • Unreal Engine Blueprints and Shaders knowledge
  • Experience in Level Design
  • Strong observation skills and understanding of nature and the world around you
  • Able to collaborate and adapt
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members located globally
  • Willingness to embrace critique and growth
