About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform daily operations of sheeting equipment according to current control plan specifications and matrix requirements
- Provide accurate quality and quantity of board stock for production during a 12-hour shift
- Review material requisitions and produce sheets according to caliper, roll width, board grade, and other specifications
- Inspect incoming raw material board for shipping damage and wet stock and report findings to the Department Manager
- Adjust cutting blades to produce clean cuts and ream-cut jobs as needed
- Operate the core cutter to perform quality checks
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment through early detection and recognition of machine sounds during operation
- Replace paper reams and perform quality inspections
- Enter rolls into production reports and reconcile sheeted material for inventory control
- Check proper size, job number, customer name, stock type, and caliper
- Perform make-readies, changeovers, and backside printing on equipment
- Perform housekeeping, maintenance, work orders, belt replacement, and related duties
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
What you’ll need- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Must have physical coordination to operate forklift
- Sheeting and/or paper board experience preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of basic machinery, tools, equipment, and basic computer knowledge preferred
- Fork truck experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Visual Color Discrimination — ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- Must be able to obtain fork truck certification
