Key responsibilities & impact

Manage or perform work associated with two or more logistics functions: logistics planning and optimization; warehouse and distribution center operations; transportation management; and fleet management
Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others and mobilize resources
Monitor and achieve operational and/or financial results for the area of responsibility
Manage people actions including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees
Manage experienced professionals and/or supervisors
Head one or more sections or a small department
Adapt departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term challenges
Analyze diverse operational situations and data
Solve problems in accordance with operational policies
Advise subordinate employees to meet schedules and resolve technical problems
