About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Address, research, and consult on complex GIT technical issues for a variety of clients
Collaborate with WNTO leaders and staff and work closely with Tax Solution Families on identifying risk management issues
Review documentation and computations for client projects including voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus studies, taxability matrices, and transaction related analysis
Prepare written tax advice on GIT matters
Track new developments from state and local jurisdictions with an emphasis on covering GIT issues
Support Firm-wide and external training to enhance the knowledge of Firm professionals and clients in GIT matters
Develop tools that will be utilized by the Firm to provide quality service to clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
CPA or JD required; LLM in Taxation preferred
At least six years of SALT consulting experience at a major public accounting or law firm
Demonstrated success in tax technical work
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet preparation and interpretation
