Implementing and executing R&D tax credit, accounting method, and fixed asset studies for clients
Collaborate with MC&I leadership and use specialized tax resources
Lead, develop and mentor assigned engagement teams and potentially participate in related marketing and sales aspects of engagements
Ensure all client projects are conducted in accordance with firm standards, completed on time, and within budget
Assist in conducting client engagement fieldwork such as visiting the client location, investigating relevant facts, analyzing applicable accounting information, completing tax computations and preparing written memorandums summarizing engagement team findings
Participate in numerous client projects and tasks simultaneously
Participate in professional development and training sessions on a regular basis
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Master's or Ph.D. in Accounting or Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Operations Research preferred
CPA or a legal background (J.D., LLM) is preferred
Two years of relevant work experience in a Tax environment (experience in a Big 4 firm, a comparable size public accounting firm or consulting firm is preferred)
An intermediate understanding of tax return mechanics is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Candidate must demonstrate ability to manage time, manage multiple projects, and meet client deadlines
Candidate must have solid abilities to analyze and summarize data with accuracy
Candidate must demonstrate experience working as a productive member of a team
Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites as required is expected
