About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, configure, test and maintain wireless and other telecommunication equipment and systems including antennas, radios, RF/ fiber optic cabling, and associated equipment.
  • Perform site surveys, signal testing and system optimization to ensure quality and reliability of service.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network and equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment inspections, document and report findings.
  • Climb and work safely on towers, rooftops, poles, and other elevated structures as required.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation using company tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with foreman, engineers, and other technicians to complete projects on time and to specifications.
  • Respond to service calls and outages as required, including after-hours or on-call assignments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent)
  • Safety and industry related certifications (e.g. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NWSA TTTl, Authorized Climber, Competent Climber/ Rescuer, Rigging, RF Awareness training, First Aid, CPR & AED), preferred.
  • Experience in the wireless/ telecommunication construction industry, private and/or government sectors, preferred.
  • Experience in Small Cell (SC) sites, New Build (NB) sites, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Tower Modifications (MODS), Microwave installation, coax, fiber optic cable installation and splicing, Cat5/ Cat6 and testing (Sweep/ PIM), preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred.
