About the role

  • Perform functional and automated accessibility testing across web and mobile platforms using assistive technologies such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
  • Run and interpret results from automated accessibility tools (Axe, Google Lighthouse) and integrate findings into the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and intended user experience.
  • Write clear, actionable bug reports and accessibility tickets.
  • Distinguish between WCAG violations, best practices, and usability concerns, and prioritize issues accordingly.
  • Suggest practical, standards-compliant solutions to accessibility issues.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to identify accessibility gaps early in the development cycle.
  • Advocate for inclusive design and help teams understand the impact of accessibility on user experience.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to accessibility knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience in software testing and accessibility.
  • 4-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Accessibility Testing.
  • Familiarity or proficiency in general automated quality engineering, including reading, writing, and executing automated tests.
  • Knowledge of working with AI and AI tools.
  • Strong general QE skills: attention to detail, creative problem-solving, requirement analysis, ticket writing, and clear communication.
  • Hands-on experience with functional accessibility testing and assistive technologies.
  • Firm understanding of WCAG guidelines and accessibility principles.
  • Familiarity with using at least one major screen reader (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
  • Strong familiarity with ARIA roles, attributes, and semantic HTML structure.
  • Experience using automated accessibility testing tools and interpreting their output.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical issues to non-experts.
  • Experience working in agile software development environments.
