About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategically position Grange’s Commercial Lines Auto products and services to meet customer and agent needs, build revenues, and drive differentiation
  • Develop and implement business plans to maximize Commercial Lines profit and growth across the auto line of business
  • Maintain full accountability for product profit and loss
  • Lead, motivate, and enable a team of professionals, including indirect reports and supporting-department personnel
  • Establish and implement product strategy covering product development, pricing, implementation, underwriting guidelines, portfolio mix, product contracts, expenses, fees, billing, bad debt, and catastrophe mitigation
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing and underwriting teams to influence agencies to adopt new technologies and best practices
  • Oversee development of new programs and niche classes with Specialty Underwriting Leaders
  • Lead Commercial Lines compliance for Auto products and ensure products and rates follow applicable statutes and regulations
  • Lead competitive analysis for assigned product lines and monitor industry trends and peer competitors
  • Lead internal and external communications about Auto products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree and/or professional designation such as CPCU strongly preferred
  • One or more years of product management profit and loss responsibility strongly desired, emphasizing commercial auto lines of business
  • Multiple years of commercial underwriting experience strongly desired
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to develop and lead a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to develop and execute a business strategy and vision
