About the role
- The Project Manager, Grid Operations, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering capital and operational projects that enhance system reliability, increase grid capacity, and support the modernization of the electrical distribution network.
- This role’s primary focus is managing the ongoing MTS#2 initiative, while also leading other Grid Operations and Modernization projects, including station upgrades, protection and control improvements, SCADA initiatives, grid automation deployments, and other grid intelligence technologies designed to improve resiliency and reduce outage impacts.
- The Project Manager oversees project scope, schedules, budgets, and risks, working closely with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and consultants.
- They ensure all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with corporate objectives, providing clear communication, thorough documentation, and comprehensive reporting throughout each project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the engineering field, with a demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
- PMP certification is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with capital budgeting and financial tracking is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Proficient in project management software (i.e. Monday.com, Microsoft Project).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid Class G Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
