About the role

  • Support planning and execution of data platform projects within an agile, collaborative culture.
  • Participate in designing scalable solutions that follow the company’s architectural standards.
  • Assist in defining non-functional requirements related to data.
  • Develop and maintain robust data integration pipelines.
  • Support the development of approaches that ensure scalable, high-quality, and resilient data flows.
  • Participate in developing efficient approaches for using transactional and analytical data.
  • Work on automation to improve efficiency and resilience.
  • Contribute to maintaining accuracy, quality, and availability of corporate data.
  • Create and maintain mapping and documentation of models and methodologies used.
  • Assist in mitigating risks and addressing technical debt.
  • Collaborate on defining and implementing data-related policies and processes.
  • Participate in forums and rituals to define roadmaps and new products.
  • Help promote continuous improvement across data environments.
  • Participate in data refinement activities aimed at generating value for different levels of the company.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other data-related fields.
  • Cloud and Storage: Experience with or willingness to develop skills in public cloud (preferably AWS or GCP). Storage solutions: S3 and Google Cloud Storage.
  • Databases and Data Warehouse: Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Athena, DocumentDB. Data Warehouses: Redshift and BigQuery. Knowledge of maintenance routines, backup and recovery. Indexing, partitioning and query tuning. Database troubleshooting.
  • Data Modeling and Architecture: Relational and dimensional modeling, Data Vault, normalization and denormalization. Basic knowledge of MDM (Master Data Management). Data architecture: Data Lake, Data Marts, structuring facts and dimensions. Data Lakehouse, structured and unstructured storage. Knowledge of Medallion architecture. Techniques for modeling and handling high-volume data. Familiarity with Data Governance concepts and practices.
  • Data Engineering and Pipelines: Experience building data pipelines. Knowledge of observability, resilience, availability and scalability for applications. Openness to automation and cloud-native best practices.
  • Languages and Tools: SQL (Basic/Intermediate with willingness to deepen). Python (Basic/Intermediate with interest in advancing). NodeJS (Basic/Intermediate with interest in advancing). Bash/Shell Script (basic).
