About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude
Maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations
Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicles
Adapt communication style to differing audiences by email, phone, and in person
Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products
Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock
Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment
Perform inventory counts
Navigate different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance standards
Report to the Branch Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
Safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance
Learn and operate powered industrial equipment
Agree to safety guidelines and comply with all process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment
