About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safe product picking, and safe customer-vehicle loading
Maximize sales opportunities and create customer loyalty
Adapt communication style for email, phone, and in-person interactions
Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products
Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock
Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment
Perform inventory counts
Navigate customer-facing and warehouse computer systems
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance to Grainger standards
Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment
Report to the Branch Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
Safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance
Learn and operate powered industrial equipment
Learn and navigate different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
Agree to safety guidelines and comply with process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment
