About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safe product picking, and safely loading customer vehicles
Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty
Adapt communication style for email, phone, and in-person audiences
Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products
Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock
Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment
Perform inventory counts
Navigate customer-facing and warehouse computer systems
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance to Grainger standards
Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including use of personal protective equipment
Report to the Branch Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance
Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment
Agreement to safety guidelines and compliance with process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment
