About the role

  • Deliver on-time product and category launches by executing aligned new product introduction tickets (NPIs), supporting launch activities, and managing the category review schedule.
  • Evaluate all aligned Decision to Sell (DTS) requests for category relevancy and customer need.
  • Help maintain an optimal assortment by evaluating all growing non-core to core SKUs and assessing sales and customer satisfaction for currently merchandised SKUs.
  • Execute new product addition processes and support continuous improvement initiatives that are designed to keep our assortment and merchandised presentation relevant, accurate, and up to date.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested to answer product, category, desk, or merchandising questions.
  • Track desk-level decisions for product reviews that can be used to aid future desk assortment decisions.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and technical product knowledge to recommend assortment changes and execute the addition of new items to e-commerce publications.
  • Analyze customer feedback and prior maintenance ticket requests to make necessary changes and improvements to e-commerce publications to enable an effortless customer selection experience.
  • Partner with Channel Merchandising Manager and Merchant to build and implement the category strategy by providing structured data-driven analyses during category research.
  • Collaborate with partners in Product Information, Search, and Publishing to optimize online content.
  • Partner with Supplier Management and Grainger Global Sourcing (GGS) for Voice of the Supplier feedback and ensure we are sourcing product from the best suppliers at the most cost advantage price.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years experience in related fields (e.g. merchandising, product management, operations)
  • Experience performing analyses, interpreting customer feedback, and providing insights to improve merchandising strategies
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support category management and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience using tools such as Snowflake and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience identifying merchandising and operational issues, developing actionable solutions, and implementing process improvements to address business challenges
