About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Reassemble and adjust machines to keep Graco hand, semi-automatic, CNC, and other production equipment in good working order
Troubleshoot equipment issues and consult with management as necessary
Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, machining, aligning, machine rebuilding, electronic, and testing operations
Perform preventative maintenance and complex repairs on company-owned machine tools, assembly equipment, and manufacturing assets
Support departmental personnel as workload dictates and mentor other mechanics
Maintain accurate maintenance records
Order parts and supplies and maintain inventory accuracy
Minimize waste by caring for products, equipment, and facilities
Maintain a productive and efficient work environment
Follow safety guidelines and use proper PPE
Diagnose and repair difficult malfunctions and obtain or fabricate replacement parts
Mentor newly hired Mechanics at various levels
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, robotics, or related field
Minimum of 128 hours of maintenance/machining programs after obtaining the associate degree
Either two years of experience as a CNC Machine Mechanic B or equivalent previous experience with maintenance of CNC machining equipment (9+ years of similar experience)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble equipment efficiently
Experience with electrical systems, programmable logic control systems, hydraulic pumps/systems, gearboxes/transmissions, and pneumatic systems
Understanding of safety rules and regulations
Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and electrical schematics
Proficient working knowledge of electronic controls
Ability to adjust machine physical placement and parameters to original specifications
Ability to work independently and follow work direction
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to lead and instruct co-workers
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future
