About the role
- Provides purchasing support to factories by ensuring all required materials are procured in a timely and cost effective manner
- Assists in management of all aspects of Graco’s global sourcing strategy
- Ensures annual improvement in total cost, quality, and service for assigned commodities
- Implements a procurement process to meet specific needs
- Locates and evaluates sources for assigned categories/commodities
- Reviews competitive proposals
- Supports new supplier qualification and new product development activities
- Places and enters purchase orders as required
- Keeps current on new market trends and materials information
- Maintains order quantities based on established formulas
- Supports cost reduction and lead time reduction initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required; Supply Chain Management preferred
- Up to 2 years Sourcing or manufacturing related experience
- Basic knowledge of sourcing practices
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Domestic Travel up to 10%
