About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supporting sales growth across utilities, power generation facilities, and related industrial infrastructure accounts
- Identifying customer needs through technical discovery meetings, site visits, and application discussions
- Presenting and demonstrating Grace electrical safety, monitoring, and predictive maintenance solutions
- Helping customers select appropriate products based on their applications, electrical systems, safety requirements, and operational goals
- Supporting specification, design-in, pilot, and standardization opportunities with engineering and safety teams
- Developing relationships with engineers, maintenance leaders, electrical safety professionals, operations teams, and other customer stakeholders
- Preparing technical proposals, product recommendations, quotations, and follow-up documentation
- Supporting opportunities from initial discovery through evaluation, purchase, installation, and expansion
- Coordinating with internal product, engineering, customer service, and sales teams to address customer requirements
- Working with distributors, channel partners, EPCs, system integrators, and OEMs to expand market reach
- Participating in customer training, industry events, trade shows, and technical presentations
- Maintaining accurate opportunity, account, activity, and forecast information within HubSpot
- Continuing to develop knowledge of utility operations, electrical safety standards, predictive maintenance, and Grace product applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or a closely related technical field
- Approximately three or more years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, field engineering, business development, or another customer-facing technical role
- Experience working with industrial, electrical, utility, power generation, automation, maintenance, or reliability applications
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions
- Confidence communicating with engineers, technicians, maintenance professionals, operations leaders, and purchasing teams
- Strong presentation, listening, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities and follow-up activities with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to develop expertise in electrical safety, predictive maintenance, utility operations, and specification-based selling
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with sales, engineering, product, and channel teams
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer locations, partner sites, and industry events
