About the role
- Creating, executing, and maintaining detailed test cases for various testing phases, including component, functional, regression, and integration testing;
- Leading and contributing to backend API test automation, participating in planning, refinement, and reviews;
- Integrating and optimizing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality gates and fast feedback cycles;
- Working collaboratively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure software quality;
- Ensuring the software meets quality standards by conducting thorough testing and validation;
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the QA process, tools, and methodologies;
- Supporting manual QA engineers by providing guidance, consulting on test automation approaches.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in backend automation testing using C#;
- Solid knowledge of C# and .NET Core, strong OOP foundations, and confident use of SOLID principles and common design patterns;
- Knowledge of microservice, monolithic, and event-driven architectures, with ability to design resilient systems using patterns like circuit breaker and rate limiter;
- Experience with Git, CI/CD practices, and DevOps tools such as GitLab, Terraform, along with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes;
- Proven track record working with large, scalable, multi-threaded applications and performing effective testing of REST APIs;
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding of data modeling, normalization, and experience with querying and database operations;
- Practical experience with messaging and queueing technologies such as Kafka, combined with understanding of networking fundamentals, SSL/TLS, authentication, authorization, and security principles;
- Background in manual testing, including functional, regression, and usage of test management and defect tracking tools;
- Strong analytical and communication skills, effective cross-team collaboration, and Intermediate English proficiency.
